Office Policies
Please call 516-498-2300 to schedule an appointment. We aim to schedule new babies as soon as possible. Appointments usually last about 1 hour and 15 minutes for mom and baby. We strive to provide the best care possible by seeing you and your baby, hearing your story, asking questions, examining both of you and watching a feeding.
VISIT DETAILS
Breastfeeding involves both mom and baby. To provide the best breastfeeding care possible we usually need to see both of you.
We take a history of both mom and baby, examine each of you and observe a feeding. Then together we develop a plan for you and your baby.
IMPORTANT INSURANCE DETAILS:
We participate with most insurance plans. Since we complete two patient encounters (mom & baby), if your insurance company requires co-pays, we collect two co-pays. Insurance plans vary and change frequently, we charge the primary care co-pays and adjust if insurance states otherwise after the visit.
We provide outpatient physician visits. If you call your insurance company to verify coverage, make sure that you state that you are seeing a physician in the field of Breastfeeding Medicine.

“Before I came to your office, I wasn’t sure if I could keep nursing my son. It was so difficult, painful and frustrating. One session with you changed that.”
